Having researched extensively into the archives of Royal Botanical Garden, Edinburgh, poured through letters written by the East India Company, and dug into the Karnataka State archives and various contemporary accounts of Mysore, Vijay Thiruvady painstakingly recreates the history of Lalbagh.
